    Classic Camp

    Classic Camp for Grades 2 & 3 is designed for those who want to experience for the first time what summer camp is all about – activities such as crafts, swimming, singing, and games. It’s a fun-filled unforgettable experience…..the first of many.

    Horsemanship (+$60)

    It starts with all the elements of our Classic Camp. Then our experienced staff and horses take participants on a great learning adventure, both in the arena and outside on the trails. All the basics of horsemanship are taught culminating in a final and unforgettable trail ride.

    What Should I Bring?

    • ALL belongings should be marked with Camper's Name.
    • ALL campers should bring gym shoes.
    • Clothes for all types of weather.
    • Pants, shorts, t-shirts, sweat shirts, etc.
    • 1-2 sets of grubby clothes for outdoor games.
    • Socks and underwear for each day of camp (plus 1 extra).
    • Pyjamas/sleep wear.
    • Warm sweater/fleece top.
    • At least 2 pairs of pants.
    • Jacket (light to medium warmth).
    • Rain gear.
    • Jacket with hood (rain pants are great but optional).
    • Hat.
    • Outdoor footwear: 1 pair thick-soled running shoes, 1 extra pair shoes (to wear if others get wet), 1 pair rubber boots, 1 pair sandals (optional).
    • Indoor footwear: gym shoes with non-marking soles (required).
    • Indoor footwear: optional slippers, sandals, etc. to be kept for indoor use only. (Bare feet are not allowed in the dining hall).
    • Swim wear.
    • Warm sleeping bag.
    • Pillow.
    • Towel and personal toiletries.
    • Bible, notebook, pencil or pen.
    • Crazy hat and/or crazy shirt (for a theme meal).
    • Bug repellent.
    • Sunscreen.
    • Water bottle.
    • Flashlight.
    • Bag for dirty clothes (optional).
    • Camera (optional).

    What SHOULDN'T I Bring?

    • Cell phones, MP3 players, iPods, computer games, etc.
    • Cigarettes, extra candy, and extra cash are not allowed.
    • Clothing with content or images that include profanity, sexual references, or derogatory comments.
    • String bikini’s or Speedos.

    Should I bring a friend?

    Absolutely!
    Invite a friend to camp and get a chance to win a cool prize! Here's how:

    • Simply invite a friend who has NEVER BEEN TO CAMP CAROLINE BEFORE!
    • If they say "Sounds awesome, I'm in!" then put their name in on the "Bring a Friend" contest page during online registration, or email summercamp@campcaroline.ab.ca.
    • Once we see their registration we will enter you BOTH in a draw to win one of 20 great prizes!

    How do I determine if I am the right age?

    Camps are based on the grade the camper is entering in fall 2017.

    How do I pay?

    Registration fees can be paid by Visa or MasterCard in full at the time of online registration or with a Payment Plan. A payment of at least $50 per person is required within two weeks of online registration in order to hold the camper's spot in his/her camp program. The balance of the fees are due no later than June 15th.

    If you wish to pay by cheque or money order, a cheque for the full fee amount must be received within two weeks of online registration. Post-dated cheques are accepted; however, they may be dated no later than June 15th, and at least $50 per person must be cashable within two weeks of the initial online registration. Please make cheques or money orders payable to Camp Caroline.

    Can I cancel and what will happen if I do?

    Cancellations prior to June 15th will forfeit the $50/camper nonrefundable deposit processed at the time of registration.

    Cancellations between June 15th and the Sunday two weeks prior to the first day of the camper's week will forfeit 50% of the base fee.

    Cancellations later than two weeks prior to the first day of the camper's week will forfeit 100% of the base fee. Full refunds will be given for program options and t-shirts.

    Is there a scholarship fund for those who can’t afford a week of camp?

    We don't want to see a child miss out on the camp opportunity simply because of finances. In order to help campers with financial needs, we have designed what we call the "Camp Caroline Scholarship Fund," into which many generous Camp Caroline supporters donate time and money. The Scholarship Fund is available for you if your child would not be able to attend summer camp without partial financial aid.

    We also want to be good stewards of the funds God has entrusted us with and so we have put the following Scholarship Fund guidelines in place:

      1. The Scholarship Fund is intended only to cover a portion of the camp fees for a child.
      2. T-shirts and DVDs are not covered by the Scholarship Fund.
      3. Campers who have been granted Scholarship Funds may only attend ONE week/session of camp.
      4. Funding is not guaranteed! We want to make sure everyone has a chance to experience summer camp at least once. Therefore, funding priority will be given to first time applicants. Returning campers are welcome to apply, but we may or may not be able to provide assistance.
