We know there are many people who want to get involved and serve with us by donating some of their time to help out. We wanted to give a few examples of how one could get involved this way.
Volunteer for a week in the summer. On average, we need about 25 volunteers each week in the roles of Counselors, Kitchen Cooks, Dishwashers, Maintenance, Program Leaders, Horsemanship Leaders, Wilderness Leaders, and Bus Drivers. Click here to see a list of our current volunteer needs for the upcoming summer. Please also see our Staff & Volunteers page for how to apply.
Come lend a hand with an off-season maintenance project. If you have skills in carpentry, electrical, welding, etc. there is a good chance we have a project just waiting for you. Put in a call to Vern Wagner at 403-722-3939 to arrange a project and a time.
Attend Work Weekend with your family in mid-June. This weekend is an effective way to get everything done that needs to get done outside before our first campers arrive. It can be a hard day of work, but also a great time to spend building relationships with each other and praying for the summer ahead. It is a family friendly weekend. If you would like to register for this weekend, please contact Leslie Weatherbee at office@campcaroline.ab.ca or call 403-722-3939.
Become a Camp Rep for your church. This takes very little time and effort on your part but makes a huge impact on the effectiveness of promotion and recruiting for CC. Duties include putting up the posters, arranging for CC bulletins to be put in the inserts, and sharing about camp or showing the camp video for 1-2 Sunday services, and attending 1-2 Camp Rep Meetings and the Annual Meeting. If you are interested, please contact Brad McComb at brad@campcaroline.ab.ca or call 403-722-3939.
We’ve also received volunteer help hosting large weekend groups. No particular skills are necessary here, though familiarity with the camp is advantageous. Contact us to let us know you are interested. The host for that weekend would make the call on having you out.
