The ABA Ladies Retreat on March 20-22, 2009 hosted 230 women for a great time of encouragement, renewal, rest, and relaxation.  The ladies were blessed by special guest speaker and musician Carolyn Arends throughout the weekend.

God was clearly at work in the fellowship of believers and in individual lives throughout the weekend.  Many times one could see meaningul conversations between a couple of ladies - seizing the opportunity for sharing and encouragement and prayer.  There was also time for quiet and reflection in the chapel, when one just needed to converse with the Lord.

Above are just a few of the pictures of the plethora of activities options available for participation.  Included in those were hanging out in the dining hall, playing music, scrapbooking, knitting, swimming, soaking in the hot tub, getting a massage, or playing volleyball, badminton, and basketball in our new gymnasium.  And of course the ladies appreciated not having to cook their own meals but could simply enjoy the delicious servings from the kitchen.
