Grades 4 | 5 | 6

Spread Your Wings at Camp Caroline

This is a one-week camp designed specifically for high-energy upper elementary children. We begin Sunday afternoon and are finished on the following Saturday after brunch. There are seven campers per counselor in a cabin, and you can request to be with friends or get to know some new friends. Most commonly, Grades 4/5 campers room together and Grade 6's room together.

There are many Camp activities for you. The Craft Shack is full of unique crafts, including ceramics and leatherwork. You'll play fun field and wide games that you may not be able to play anywhere else, like our famous game called "Sticks." How many times are you allowed to use a slingshot or shoot an arrow? Swimming in our indoor pool or soaking in the hot tub is always a big hit. There's the high adventure of the Climbing Wall and High Ropes Course while the Group Initiative Sites and Zip-Line are yearly favourites. In your free time you may also get to shoot hoops, play a round of Frisbee Golf, or try a camper favourite - creek walking.

fireWe've got a special opportunity for only the Grades 4/5's - you get to spend one day and one night of your camp week experiencing the "wilderness" on Camp Caroline's property. You'll do a hebertism course out in the woods of Camp Caroline, help with setting up tents, building a fire, and cooking supper. After supper we'll review what you learned about team building, God, and creation throughout the day. Then the magnificent poplar forest - with lots of places to hide and run - is great for a fun-filled wide game. Before crawling into the tent with your cabin, enjoy a scrumptious snack and a Bible story under the stars.

There are also two very special events that happen during this week that campers get totally jazzed about... the Talent Show and "Mini Olympics." You'll love 'em!

Activity Programs for Grade 4/5

(must choose one)

horseGrades 4/5 can add to their experience at Camp Caroline by choosing the Gr. 4/5 Horsemanship Program. Our skilled and experienced leaders and horses take you on a great learning adventure with 3 1-hour sessions in the arena and on the camp trails.

The other program for Grades 4/5's is the Extra Activities Program, which is designed for those who love our great onsite activities (crafts, sports, swimming, etc.) and who simply want to have extra time participating in these activities.

Activity Programs for Grades 4, 5 and 6

New to Gr. 4/5/6 Camps this year is the Laser Tag Program! Spend two hours of your camp week at Tipi Village learning how a laser gun works and playing different games with your peers. We have hired a professional from the area who will bring in his own equipment to run a safe and fun experience for all. In this program, Gr 4/5 and Gr 6 campers will be placed in the same cabin group for both rooming and program participation. The Soccer Program, offered at only Gr 4/5/6 A Camp, also combines Gr 4/5 and Gr 6 campers in one cabin group for rooming and program participation. In this program, you’ll enjoy approximately 4 hours of soccer throughout your week at camp. The program is recreationally focused so that campers who have played on a team before and have never played on a team can join the fun and learn some new skills! Everyone is welcome and guaranteed to stretch their muscles and their skills.

Activity Programs for Grade 6

One is the Overnight Hike Program, which includes a camping trip into the mountains within an hour's drive west from Camp Caroline. The other is the Overnight Canoe Program, which includes a camping trip at one of the beautiful little lakes within a 20-minute drive from Camp Caroline.
